Protyping PCB printing conductive ink and etch resist

The whole process of having to etch copper from a substrate to create a PCB seems a complex method of creating a PCB. Why not just print the tracks or print the etch resis directly on a subtrate. Direct printing of conductive tracks seems the correct way to go and I'm sure we'll be seeing more of this in the future.

This section reviews various methods so far being used to either bz printing directly onto the substrate for:

    • printing the conductive tracks

    • print the etch resist
